Books are a great resource as an activity to change a mood. Sometimes we all just need some quiet time. Now when my son is potty training we are keeping books in the bathroom for him to "read" as he does his business. We also keep books in the car for when we get tired looking out the window and I usually have a book or two in my bag for when we are mid activity and have some waiting time... the parent oriented books are by no means an end all list. I am always discovering new treasures and love reading others experiences surrounding the baby times...
