Growing Green Baby started as many baby stores start- with a baby. In the process of shopping around for those items we thought we would need we realized how wonderful it would be to have one place to could trust that would just sell quality, functional, healthy items.

At Growing Green Baby, we want to help you to create a home environment where your babies and children can thrive and reach their full potential. We advocate holistic, natural lifestyle, and reducing environmental toxins as much as possible. We realize that in our current world it is impossible to completely eliminate all toxins to which our children are exposed. However, we can take steps to reduce or eliminate the most detrimental exposures and keep our kids and our planet as safe and healthy as possible.

We do our best to provide you with the most up-to-date, reliable information about the products we carry so you can make informed decisions. All of our products have been found high quality with the safest non-toxic materials available.

Who...

Growing Green Baby was conceived in 2009 by Melissa Syken and her husband Jamie Syken and then incubated until 2011 when it started to birth itself into fruition.

Mother of four (including Melissa) and Grandmother- Patricia Way- is an active contributor on many levels and will be found regularly working in the store. As well, Melissa's father- Bob Willmeth- was the primary builder on site of the retail location and is looking forward to handcrafting some toys to sell in the shop.

Sister Lucy Way has been a big help with decor and general operations and Melissa's brother Levi Willmeth has been an invaluable resource to get webstore operational. Uncle Josh has been a great help with keeping the little one busy! This is truely a family business. Also, Jamie's mother, father, and sister have been big supporters and have offered great ideas and encouragement along the way.

Why...

We love babies! As we grow we hope to share some basic references and little bits of wisdom and ideas adopted from others. Raising children does take a village!
