We like toys that encourage open ended play. One item can be used for many purposes and learning is always a component. Another thing to think about is growth- will this toy keep interest for a length of time? It is nice to have targeted toys for specific stages of learning and also nice if a toy grows with your child so to speak... We have chosen quality wooden and recycled plastic (BPA free of course) toys to delight and inspire play.
